1. Don’t Wash Your Hair Every Day
Washing every day strips hair of nutrients and its natural oils, leaving it looking dull.
Daily shampooing can also cause hair breakage, brittle strands, and dullness, and can dry out the scalp.
If you’re worried about your hair getting greasy too quickly otherwise: Don’t be afraid! Hair gets greasy because the scalp isn’t moisturized enough, so the sebaceous glands overproduce their own oil.
So if you take care of enough moisture and avoid a dry scalp, your hair will be far less greasy. And also look much more well-groomed, shiny and soft.
2. Use Silicone- & Sulfate-Free Shampoos
Sulfate is the substance responsible for the lather in shampoos. However, it attacks the scalp and hair very aggressively and therefore cleans anything but gently.
However, if you want your hair to look expensive, it’s essential that it isn’t damaged by aggressive ingredients or that your scalp is dried out.
Silicones, on the other hand, do seal the hair, giving it a nice shine, but they don’t wash out completely, making the hair look flat in the long run, as they encourage early oil production. This is also something we don’t want to have with expensive-looking hair.
In addition, it’s important to understand that the shampoo is usually only a few seconds or minutes on the hair and therefore most of the “good” ingredients which many manufacturers advertise, can’t be absorbed. Therefore, the simplest, gentle shampoos such as baby shampoo, for example, are suitable here.
ADDITIONAL TIP: Please never apply shampoo to the ends of the hair, as it can dry them out and cause hair breakage. Shampoo should be applied to the scalp for a short time to remove impurities and styling residues. When washing out it comes anyway in the tips and cleans them too, there you need and shouldn’t provide them with shampoo before.

3. Conditioner also in the Roots
Now you know that moisture on the scalp isn’t your enemy, but your friend. And a very important one.
So periodically, you should also put your conditioner in the roots of your hair to give it the moisture it needs.
Especially in summer, when you might still have a sunburn on your scalp or your skin is drier from the sun anyway, it’s essential to make sure it’s moisturized enough.
And here, you don’t have to worry about them looking greasy afterward. Just make sure you wash your hair out well and there should be no conditioner residue left behind.

4. Regular Hair Masks
To provide your hair with nutrients and other vitamins as well as minerals, you should do a hair mask 1-2 times a week. This can be, for example, rosemary, argan, or castor oil that you apply to the scalp to moisturize it and in the lengths and tips a good hair mask.
Or you can also apply the hair mask to the scalp, it’s up to you. The important thing is that you don’t leave it out – because as I said, it needs moisture to prevent dandruff and skin dehydration.
Also, I can only recommend that you leave the mask on overnight or for several hours so that the ingredients can really be absorbed by your hair.
ADDITIONAL TIP: You can make a sleek bun or braid with it wonderfully and go with it e.g. to the Gym – nobody will notice that because it holds bombproof like a good gel.

5. Scalp Massages
If you suffer from hair loss or brittle hair, you should massage your scalp regularly.
This will stimulate hair growth and make your hair shinier. In addition, it does just insanely good and it’s a great balance to the stressful everyday life.
6. Cover Gray Hair between Hairdresser Appointments
If you want to know how your hair looks expensive, you should cover your gray hair between hair appointments.
Especially the roots will look unkempt otherwise.
7. Have Your Hair Cut Regularly
A regular haircut (at least once every 3 months) is the name of the game if you want your hair to look expensive.
Trimming your hair eliminates split, damaged, or broken ends and accelerates hair growth instead of hindering it.
