Packing for a cruise is like… what even is the dress code? You need outfits for lounging, brunching, pool-hopping, mystery elegant dinners, dancing?? It’s a lot.
But also kinda the best part…
It’s like a mini fashion show where you only have to impress yourself and maybe the buffet bartender.
Pack pieces that move. That doesn’t fight you. Outfits you feel kinda hot in but can also breathe in after two plates of pasta.
Outfits that say: “I have no idea what day it is, and I love that for me.”
Here are my absolute favorite Cruise outfits and I’m so sure you’ll love them too.

Classy Euro Yacht Black and White Outfit
I’m picturing you sipping champagne on deck at sunset. Add oversized sunglasses and strappy heels to keep it sleek and chic.
Linen shirt and white shorts
This is basically the ultimate vacation uniform for me. You just can’t go wrong with a classic, breezy linen shirt. It’s so incredibly breathable when you’re out walking around in the sun all day.
I love pairing it with crisp white shorts for that effortless, coastal aesthetic. It just looks so clean and put together, but you still feel like you’re wearing pajamas.
Flowy maxi dress
A long, sweeping dress is an absolute must-have for any trip by the water. It’s one of those magical pieces you can literally just throw on and look instantly glamorous with zero effort.
I wore a dress super similar to this on a windy evening walk once, and it just billowed out so beautifully behind me. Just be careful on those breezy top decks so you don’t have a sudden Marilyn Monroe moment in front of everyone!
Striped beach cover-up
I’m completely obsessed with this striped look. It’s so classic and nautical, which is perfect for being out on the ocean.
A good cover-up is essential for transitioning from the pool deck to the indoor buffet without feeling totally exposed or weird. You can just toss this right over your suit and grab a quick bite to eat. It’s super practical but still looks really chic.
Wide-leg trousers with a tank top
These wide-leg pants give me major luxury vacation vibes. They look so expensive and tailored, but they’re honestly as comfortable as sweatpants.
This is exactly what I’d wear for a casual dinner or watching a theater show in the evening.
Satin slip dress
For those fancier nights onboard, a satin slip dress is my absolute go-to secret weapon.
It takes up literally zero space in your suitcase and doesn’t really wrinkle if you roll it up carefully. I love how the fabric catches the light in the evening. You can dress it up with some delicate gold jewelry, add a little shoulder bag, and you’re totally good to go.
Crochet matching set
Crochet is having such a huge moment right now and I’m totally here for it. It brings that fun, bohemian texture to your travel wardrobe. A matching set takes all the frustrating guesswork out of getting dressed in the morning when you’re still half asleep.
You literally just put it on and you look like you planned your outfit for hours.
Navy blazer with linen pants
This look is giving serious captain energy and I love it. Sometimes the air conditioning inside the ship is absolutely blasting, so having a lightweight blazer is a really smart move.
Paired with some relaxed linen pants, it looks incredibly polished and sophisticated. This is the perfect travel day outfit too, especially when you’re navigating through the airport.
Tropical print jumpsuit
You really can’t go on a tropical getaway without packing at least one fun print! Jumpsuits are so amazing because it’s an entire outfit in one single piece. I wore a jumpsuit just like this on a sightseeing excursion once and it was the best decision ever.
I was super comfortable climbing on and off the tour bus all day. Plus, the bright colors look absolutely amazing in vacation photos.
White sundress
A simple white dress is basically mandatory for any summer trip. It just makes you look so glowing, fresh, and awake.
I always make sure to bring a stain remover pen with me though, because knowing me, I’ll definitely spill iced coffee on it within the first five minutes of wearing it. It’s just so classic and sweet for a morning stroll.
Bikini with sheer sarong
This is how you do poolside lounging the right way. A sheer sarong adds just a little bit of coverage but still lets your cute swimsuit peek through.
It’s also super versatile, which is great for packing light. You can tie it around your waist as a skirt, or even tie it around your neck as a halter top if you get creative with it!
Elegant dinner dress
Most ships have at least one formal night, and it’s so fun to actually get dressed up and go all out.
This elegant look is absolutely stunning. It makes you feel like you’re starring in an old Hollywood movie. Walking down the grand staircase in the main dining room in something like this just hits different.
Denim shorts with a breezy blouse
For exploring port cities, comfort is totally key. Denim shorts are a classic staple, but pairing them with a lightweight, breezy blouse keeps the outfit from looking too basic.
You want something airy because those walking tours can get super warm by midday. Just add some comfy sneakers and a crossbody bag to keep your hands free.
Pleated midi skirt outfit
I love the movement of a pleated skirt so much. It swishes so perfectly when you walk down the street.
This is a great option if you want to look a bit more dressed up during the day but still stay really comfortable. You can pair it with a simple tank top and some strappy sandals. It’s just effortlessly chic.
Button-down shirt over swimwear
This is my favorite lazy day style hack. Just stealing an oversized button-down and using it as a cover-up is the coolest, most relaxed vibe ever. It gives that perfect effortless aesthetic.
It’s absolutely perfect for when you’re just grabbing a morning iced latte on the deck before hitting the pool for the day.
Off-shoulder summer dress
Showing a little shoulder is so flattering on literally everyone. This style is so romantic and pretty for a vacation. I had an off-shoulder dress I wore on a sunset boat ride once, and it was just the perfect outfit for the occasion. It frames your face really nicely and leaves plenty of room for some cute statement earrings.
Lightweight co-ord set
Another set because I’m just obsessed with them right now! A lightweight co-ord is ideal for those days when the sun is just beating down. You really want fabrics that don’t cling to you when it’s humid out. This look is so put-together but feels as comfy as your favorite pajamas.
Capri pants with a chic top
Capris are totally making a comeback and I think they look so incredibly sophisticated. They give me such a vintage European summer vibe. Paired with a really structured, chic top, it’s a super modern take on a classic silhouette. I’d definitely wear this for a nice outdoor lunch at a pretty port stop.
