I’ve been saving an absolutely insane amount of party makeup pins lately, and my Pinterest feed is basically just glitter and shimmer at this point.
You know that feeling when you finally have something fun on the calendar after weeks of just being in your sweatpants? Like a concert, a friend’s birthday, a festival weekend, or honestly just a really good night out.
Suddenly you’re staring at your makeup drawer like “okay, what are we doing tonight?” and the pressure is real.
So I put together this huge mood board of my absolute favorite looks I’ve been crushing on lately, and I’m so excited to share them with you.
Smoky bronze glam
Starting off with my personal favorite, because how could I not? Smoky bronze glam is honestly the most flattering thing you can do to your eyes, and I really mean that.
It just makes everyone’s eyes look bigger and warmer.
Glossy nude lips
When your eyes are doing the absolute most, the lip needs to chill. Glossy nude lips are the perfect partner for any kind of dramatic eye situation.
Silver shimmer eyes
Okay, I have to tell you about the time I wore silver shimmer eyes to a New Year’s party two years ago. I was so nervous because I’d never done anything that bold before, and I genuinely thought I looked crazy when I left the house.
But then like four different girls in the bathroom asked me what I used and one of them legit took a photo of my eyelid to show her sister. It was the most validation I’d ever gotten for a single makeup product, and I haven’t gone back to plain shadow for a party since.
Just press it on with your finger. Brushes ruin the sparkle, I promise.
Cherry cola makeup
Cherry cola makeup is the moodiest, prettiest trend of the season. It’s basically warm red-brown tones spread across your whole face in this very intentional, romantic way.
I’d wear this to like a winter concert, a cozy bar, anywhere with low lighting and good vibes.
Soft glitter eyeliner
Soft glitter eyeliner is the easiest way to take a regular face to festival makeup territory in about 30 seconds. You just trace your normal liner with a sparkly topper.
That’s it. That’s the entire trick. People will think you spent an hour on your eyes.
Champagne glow look
A champagne glow look just instantly makes you look expensive. I don’t make the rules, I just live by them.
Bold red lip combo
Sometimes a girl just needs a bold red lip combo to feel like herself again. There’s something so confidence-boosting about it.
The trick is to line your lips with a slightly deeper red first, then fill them in with a creamy lipstick, blot with a tissue, and reapply. The blotting step makes it last so much longer.
Frosted inner corners
Frosted inner corners are such a tiny detail but they make such a huge difference. We’re talking a really bright, almost icy white shimmer right in the inner corners of your eyes.
It just wakes your whole face up.
Espresso brown smoky eye
An espresso brown smoky eye is what I reach for when I want drama but I don’t want to look like a raccoon by 11 p.m. The warm brown tones are so much more forgiving than harsh black.
Peachy glow makeup
Peachy glow makeup is everything for daytime festival vibes. It looks so good in natural light and just makes you look genuinely happy.
Siren eye effect
The siren eye effect is genuinely my favorite TikTok trend that has ever happened. You basically extend your liner outward and slightly downward to make your eyes look more elongated.
It takes practice though, I’m not going to lie. I literally watched like five tutorials before I felt confident doing it on myself.
Rose gold shimmer
Rose gold shimmer is what I always wear to concert makeup occasions. The warm pink tones photograph so beautifully under stage lights, and every selfie looks like it was hit with a filter.
Blurred berry lips
Blurred berry lips are giving cool girl outside the bar in a leather jacket. Pat a creamy berry lipstick all over your lips, then use your finger to gently blur the edges so it looks like a lived-in stain.
So effortless. So good for nights when you’re going to be eating, drinking, and dancing.
Golden hour glam
Honestly, golden hour glam is the festival makeup of my actual dreams. We’re talking bronzed, sun-kissed everything with golden shimmer that looks like actual sunshine on your face.
It’s the kind of look that makes you wanna twirl around in a flower crown, you know?
Soft matte full glam
I have a kind of embarrassing story about this one. So I used to be obsessed with dewy skin for everything, including nights out at the club.
I went to my friend Maddie’s 25th birthday party last summer and I went super dewy thinking I’d look amazing in all the photos. By 11:30 p.m. my whole face had basically melted off, my friends were all texting me asking if I was okay because I looked “sweaty” in the group pics.
Meanwhile Maddie, who had done a soft matte full glam, looked literally identical to when she started the night. I switched teams that exact weekend. For any kind of dancing situation, matte is the only answer.
Icy highlight makeup
Icy highlight makeup is the move when you really want to glow. We’re talking a cool-toned, almost blue-tinged highlight on the very high points of your face.
It looks insane in photos.
Sparkly cut crease
A sparkly cut crease is what you do when you really, really mean business. It’s not easy, I’ll be honest, but once you get the line clean it’s the most dramatic thing ever.
Use a sticky base before patting on your glitter. Otherwise everything falls down onto your cheekbones and you spend the whole night looking like you got into a fight with a fairy.
Bronzed goddess look
The bronzed goddess look is exactly what summer parties were made for. Warm, glowy, slightly sun-kissed everything with a touch of shimmer where it counts.
Mocha mousse makeup
Mocha mousse makeup is so chic and grown up. It’s basically warm brown tones across the lips, the cheeks, and the eyes in a monochromatic way that feels really intentional.
I wore this for my cousin’s engagement party and I felt so put-together the entire night.
Winged liner glam
And we’re wrapping things up with the classic that will never, ever die: winged liner glam. There’s a reason this look has been around since basically the 1950s.
It just works on everyone. My biggest tip is to use a piece of scotch tape as a guide along the outer corner of your eye for a really crisp wing. I know it sounds extra but it works every single time.
